Every baby’s story begins uniquely, and those first months set the stage for growth and development. With my background as a neonatal occupational therapist in the NICU, I’ve seen how powerful early support can be in helping little ones meet milestones with ease and confidence. By starting therapy early, we can gently guide your baby’s motor skills, sensory experiences, and overall development—helping them thrive while giving you peace of mind along the way.

Why Families Seek Developmental
Occupational Therapy

Every baby develops at their own pace, but sometimes little ones need extra support to feel comfortable, confident, and on track with milestones. Seeking help early can make all the difference—easing worries and building strong foundations for growth. Families often reach out when they notice:

  • Tummy time challenges – fussiness, discomfort, or difficulty lifting their head

  • Flat spots on the head (plagiocephaly) or a preference to turn head one way

  • Tightness or stiffness in the neck (torticollis), arms, or legs

  • Delays in motor skills like rolling, sitting, or crawling

  • Feeding or oral motor difficulties (beyond typical breastfeeding support) along with difficulty keeping mouth closed (mouth breathing)

  • Sensory sensitivities—trouble calming, overreacting to touch, or difficulty with soothing

  • Prematurity or NICU history where extra developmental monitoring is recommended

Early therapy is not just about “catching up”—it’s about giving your baby the best chance to thrive while giving you reassurance and practical tools along the way.
